"This special song came from a request by Debbie asking me to write a song for Our Sorrowful Mother's Ministry. After deep prayer one evening, I received the words and melody for "Come to the Cross." The chorus is an invitation from Our Sorrowful Mother to Debbie and Vanessa to come and stand with Her, uniting their sufferings with Her Son. The verses are their response to Our Blessed Mother, accepting Her plea coming from Her pierced heart. What started as a personal invitation became a beautiful melody for all of us." --Annie

Come to the cross, come stand by Me.
I who am your Mother, love you tenderly.
I see your tears, I know your pain.
In my pierced heart, I felt the same.
As a Catholic singer-songwriter, Annie Karto hopes to stir the flame in the Catholic Church through the power of God's great gift of music. The healing mercy of God is the heart of her music ministry, along with singing of the beautiful sacraments of the Church, and honoring the Blessed Mother Mary. She has a desire to encourage priests in their vocations and has been blessed to share the song she received, "You Are A Priest Forever," to many priests across the country.

Being firmly rooted in the Catholic faith, and in complete obedience to the Magisterium of the Church and the Holy Father, Annie belongs to a lay apostolate, the Eucharistic Apostles of the Divine Mercy, an outreach of the Marians of the Immaculate Conception, Stockbridge, Massachusetts. Together they strive to promote Eucharistic Adoration, bring the Divine Mercy message to a hurting world, form small faith groups called cenacles, which meet to pray for vocations to the priesthood and religious life, pray for an end to abortion, and study Sacred Scripture, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and the diary of St. Maria Faustina. They also encourage praying the Divine Mercy Chaplet for the sick and the dying.

The title song of Annie's hit CD, "Overshadow Me" won a Unity award for liturgical song of the year in 2002. The song, "I Am Yours" a song of consecration to the Blessed Mother won an international award in Guatemala in November of the same year. "I love my Catholic faith so very much and I feel it can be felt in the songs our Lord gives me. What a joy and blessing to sing of His great Mercy!"

Annie has traveled extensively and appeared on EWTN's Backstage program. Her song "You are a Priest Forever" has touched the hearts of many priests throughout the country. Fr. Andrew Apostoli, C.F.R. writes, "From the first time I heard Annie Karto's song a few years ago, I felt it had a special anointing from the Lord. Even the unfortunate negative publicity against priests that emerged in early 2002 has only made the song that much more a message of hope and consolation for all loyal Catholics who love their Church and their priests! Every priest, in turn, also needs to hear those reassuring words that Annie sings with such joyful enthusiasm and conviction. "You are a Priest Forever!" As the great Cure of Ars, St. John Vianney, patron saint of diocesan priests, reminds us so well, "The priesthood is the joy of the Heart of Jesus!" You will find this song a joy as well. Annie acknowledges that all that is given is pure grace from God. Annie is available for travel to sing and speak at parishes and conferences.

"Sanctify" MP3

"This is the will of God, your holiness." (1 Thessalonians 4:3)

"This song was inspired by this scripture quote from St. Paul's first letter to the Thessalonians. Let us turn to the Holy Spirit, asking Him to 'sanctify' or make holy all our thoughts, words and deeds." --Annie

"Overshadow Me" MP3

"But Mary said to the angel, 'How can this be?' And the angel said in reply, 'The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you.'" (Luke 1:34-35)

The song "Overshadow Me" won a Unity Award for liturgical song of the year at the UCMVA awards in 2002.

"My prayer is that all of us surrender to the Holy Spirit as Mary did, allowing Him free reign in our lives." --Annie

Have you ever felt sadness, weakness or pain? Have you ever felt abandoned, isolated or lonely? If you said yes to one or more of these questions, you are sure to be encouraged by the music of Matthew Baute. Matthew is an inspirational singer/songwriter with a gentle spirit that is reflected in the style of music he plays, and one who shines a light on a bruised heart.

Matthew Baute (pronounced "bow-dee": rhymes with "howdy") grew up in a Catholic family among the cypress trees and piney woods of Covington, LA, just north of New Orleans. At the age of 2 he received a drum as a Christmas gift and a year later added a plastic-stringed guitar. Not long thereafter Matthew started piano lessons and learned quickly not only that he had a love for music, but a gift for music as well. As a teenager he sang in the church youth choir and was active in his high school marching band where he even received the John Philip Sousa Award for his outstanding commitment as a musician. As Matthew entered college at Saint Louis University, he spent much of his free time pursuing some sort of musical endeavor. He played in a jazz band, a pep band and a pop/rock group. He even worked on the technical side mixing sound for a choral ensemble. Although these were seen as extracurricular activities at the time, God did indeed have a plan for Matthew's musical vocation but would reveal it only at a later time.

In 2005 Matthew was part of a music mission trip to the Caribbean island of Trinidad. When he returned he began to perform at local and regional events, including the Catholic Crossroads Festival and the Rock the Light Christian music festival in Kansas City. In 2006, Matthew Baute signed on as a World Library Publications (WLP) artist and in 2007 released his second CD "HOLD ME, LORD", which subsequently won a Unity Award for 'Praise & Worship Album of the Year'. Matthew has embraced these opportunities not only to carry on creating new music, but also to apply the experience of how God has touched his life by inspiring others on their own journey toward wholeness.

Today, Matthew travels to churches across the US as a full-time lay "music missionary" sharing God's message of mercy and love through song. He strives to lead a simple lifestyle, describing it as living a "monastic life in a secular world." He provides music for retreats, conferences, and Eucharistic Adoration, and also offers workshops on the single life, vocational discernment, and healing through the annulment process. When not traveling, Matthew continues to serve as music minister at his home parish of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in St. Ann, Missouri.

"In The Silence" MP3

"Be still, and know that I am God." (Psalm 46:10)

"When we slow down from the busy-ness of everyday life and spend time in quiet prayer, God will speak and whisper words of love and comfort in the depths of our hearts. But we have to take the time to slow down. He will never force His way in." --Matthew

"Mother's Prayer" MP3

"This song was inspired by a poem that Mother Teresa adapted and inscribed on the wall of her children's home in Calcutta, encouraging her children to be true to themselves and to God, no matter what. This is the prayer of all mothers, including our Blessed Mother for all her children." --Matthew
