Knights of Our Mother of Sorrows
The Knights of Our Mother of Sorrows are a group of men who each promise to be prayer warriors for the ministry and to assist in whatever needs to be done to further the work of the Holy Spirit in healing wounded souls. These men are committed to defending and spreading the Catholic Faith and to protecting and nurturing their families, providing the spiritual leadership that strong families require. John Frailey serves as the head knight.
"For me, the two crossed swords show protection — one wearing the design is a defender who is not just acting on his own, but in an alliance." —Chris Jacquot deShazo, designer, Spectrum Graphics

Fr. John Titus, pastor of St Charles Borromeo Parish and chaplain to the Newman Center at Eastern Illinois University, is in charge of formation for the Knights, meeting regularly to explore aspects of male identity and spirituality. This is a tremendous blessing and encouragement for the men of our community, as we seek to model our lives after St. Joseph: leaders, protectors, and providers for our families and communities.
What a grace and a blessing it is for our ministry to have this many men real men of God, willing to step out in faith to witness to Christ. These men are "stepping out into the deep" to follow Christ wherever He may lead to help heal the body of Christ.
